Installation and templating service
Templating
We require the following before templating can be carried out:
- Please inform us of any special requirements, such as restricted access, kitchen on first floor - additional help will be needed with off loading etc
- Access must be clear.
- Clear site to work from.
- All carcasses must be completed, fully secured and levelled.
- Temporary tops, taps, hobs, sinks etc must be removed.
Sinks
- Undermount sinks must already be installed.
- Any templates must be provided for inset sinks.
- Any manufacturers details regarding these items must be provided.
Other cut outs
- Positions and sizes for any hob cut outs, tap holes etc must be available at time of templating We only supply and install granite worktops and do not carry out any plumbing work.
- Complex splashbacks may need a second visit and an additional cost incurred for fitting. After templating carcasses must not be moved as this will affect fitting.
- Failure to adhere to these requirements may result in a delay in fitting.
Fitting
We require the following before fitting can be carried out:
- All carcasses must be level and secured and capable of supporting the granite, the weight of which is approximately 80kg per Sq Metre.
- If heavy pieces such as a large island are being fitted, extra help will be required with offloading.
- Timber batons must be fitted to the wall where required.
- Clear site to work from.
A surcharge will be made for any extra visits as a result of the above requirements not being met
Timescales
We aim to manufacture the worktops within 7 to 10 working days with the exception of the busy Christmas period in which our timescale may increase to 10 to 14 working days.
